While we were celebrating #indigeneity at Tate Modern with indigenous folks, allies, friends, and family in London yesterday, back home our ancestral indigenous land in eastern nepal was yet again denied the identity we wanted. Instead of LIMBUWAN KIRAT It was named ‘koshi province’, a name used in old Panchayat regime, a name that totally negates the long historic indigenous movement of people in the region, a name that represents nothing but brahminical hegemony, a name that we simply REJECT
#koshiprovince absolutely NOT acceptable.
If Limbuwan Kirat cannot fit in what we currently know as nepal, then maybe the course of Indigenous Movement should move forward accordingly.

“I come from the same Yakthung Laje as you do, but from a distant future.”“खेÞनेÞ हेÞक्के ए आङ्गाआङ् याक्थुङ् लाजे लाम्मे रो ।। कर आङ्गा माःङ्घाबा तायेÞम् लाम्बा त्याङ्बा रो ।।”, she waits for his response. The warrior reads the scripts on her insignias, but doesn’t say anything instantly.

“In the future, we have created ways to travel into different timelines, past and future, we call it thakthakma[to weave]" “ताःन्दिबा येÞम्ओ, पेयेÞम् नु तायेÞम्बा वेवे येÞम्लाइन्हाओ ताक्कन्छेÞ आनिगेÞ लाम्हा तयुम्बेÞआङ् वा ।। कन्निन् आनिगेÞ थाक्थाक्मा मेÞत्तुम्बेÞ ।।”, she adds.

“My mother weaved this for me, she said nothing about weaving time.” “कन्निन् आम्मारेÞ थागुपिराङ्बा, कर खुनेÞ येÞम् थाक्मारेÞ कुबाःन् आप्फाल्लेÞआङ् मेÞबाःत्तुन्”, the warrior smiles.

“Maybe you never asked, you should.”“खेÞन् पाःन्न् िआप्फाल्लेÞआङ् सेःन्केÞन्लाप्तुन् ला, इ सेःन्केÞलाप्तु बि ।।” replies the time traveller.”
